2012 IOS Grant Program
IOS is pleased to announce the acceptance of applications for the 2012 Illinois Ornithological Society Grant Program. Awards of up to $1,000 are available to applicants conducting projects relating to birds and/or birding in Illinois.
In 2011 seven grants of $1,000 each were awarded. Details are available here.
Grants are available to anyone with a bird and/or birding related project including students, professionals, and individuals. If the grant would enhance work still needed to be conducted, the project may already be underway. Interested applicants should submit a project proposal of up to but not exceeding three pages. Application forms are available at the IOS web site www.illinoisbirds.org or e-mail your form request to Denismb@comcast.net.
Recipients of an IOS Grant award must agree to write an article about the project and its results for the IOS journal The Meadowlark. Willingness of applicant to attend the IOS Spring meeting and share results will be taken into consideration in choosing award winners. Assistance for travel to the Spring meeting may be requested from IOS.
