Cackling Goose: Cook Cty (North) - 1 was first found at the Montrose Harbor turnaround on 10/2/09 (Joe Lill). It was reported the following day as well as today (10/8/09). It is seen most frequently by the Montrose Harbor mouth.

American White Pelican: Cook Cty (North) - 1 observed flying south over Foster Ave and Broadway St in Chicago on 10/7/09 (Bob Hughes).

ROSEATE SPOONBILL: Fayette Cty (South) - This long staying bird was last sighted on 10/4/09 (Craig Taylor). However, it had moved to a wet spot in a field about 1/2 mile north of I70, still visible from 925th road in Vandalia, IL. Unfortunately, It was later seen flying off to the NW. It may still be in the area.

PLEGADIS IBIS: DuPage Cty (North) - A juvenile was seen at Springbrook Prairie on 10/10/09 (Demitri Lafkas). It later flew off to the east.

Golden Eagle: Bond/Clinton/Fayette Cty (South) - One at Carlyle Lake on the weekend of 10/3/09-10/4/09 (Dan Kassebaum).

Long-billed Dowitcher: Lake Cty (North) - Up to 13 have been frequenting at Rollins Savannah (Jim Solum) for the past few weeks. They were last seen on 10/10/09 (Beau Schaefer).

Red-necked Phalarope: Cook Cty (North) - 1 at McGinnis Slough on 10/4/09 (Amar Ayyash). Bond/Clinton/Fayette Cty (South) - 2 at Carlyle Lake on 10/4/09 (Dan Kassebaum, Charlene Malone, Keith McMullen, et. al.).

Wilson's Phalarope: Lake Cty (North) - 1 juvenile at Rollins Savannah on 10/4/09 (Jim Solum).

Sabine's Gull: Bond/Clinton/Fayette Cty (South) - 3 at Carlyle Lake on 10/4/09 (Dan Kassebaum, Charlene Malone, Keith McMullen, et. al.). 2 were seen the day before.

Franklin's Gull: (North) - 3 on the beach north of Montrose Point on 10/4/09 (Jeff Thomas). Bond/Clinton/Fayette Cty (South) - Unspecified number at Carlyle Lake on 10/4/09 (Dan Kassebaum, Charlene Malone, Keith McMullen, et. al.).

LONG-TAILED JAEGER: Bond/Clinton/Fayette Cty (South) - 1 observed from the Hazlet Pavillion at Carlyle Lake on 10/3/09 (Dan Kassebaum, Keith McMullen). It was not seen the next day.

Black-throated Blue Warbler: Lake Cty (North) 1 male at Illinois Beach State Park, South Unit on 10/5/09 (Todd Anderson). Kankakee Cty (Central) - 1 at Aroma Forest Preserve on 10/6/09 (Jed Hertz). McLean Cty (Central) - 3 females at Ewing Park on 10/3/09 (Michael Retter, Matt).

Connecticut Warbler: Kankakee Cty (Central) - 1 at Aroma Forest Preserve on 10/6/09 (Jed Hertz).

Clay-colored Sparrow: Cook Cty (Central) - At least 1 was present at Montrose Point on 10/8/09 (Unknown).

Le Conte's Sparrow: Kankakee Cty (Central) - 1 at LeVasseur Park/Perry Farm on 10/5/09 (Jed Hertz).

Nelson's Sparrow: (North) - Multiple birds have been reported from many sites including Montrose Point (Cook Cty), Northerly Island (Cook Cty), Loyola Park (Cook Cty), Middlefork Savannah (Lake Cty), Rollins Savannah (Lake Cty), and Springbrook Prairie (DuPage Cty).
