Cackling Goose: Cook Cty (North) - 1 at Montrose Harbor on 10/15/09 (Fran Morel). This bird has been in the area for a couple weeks now and is usually seen by the paved turnaround. Kankakee Cty (Central) - 1 at LeVasseur Park on 10/17/09 (Jed Hertz). Woodford Cty (Central) - 8 at Kenyon Preserve on 10/11/09 (Matthew Winks).
Surf Scoter: Richland Cty (South) - 2 at East Fork Lake on 10/16/09 (Leroy Harrison, Bob Shelby). 5 at the Carlyle Sewage Lagoon off of Sand Ridge Road on 10/17/09 (Mark Seiffert).
Red-necked Grebe: Richland Cty (South) - 1 at East Fork Lake on 10/16/09 (Leroy Harrison, Bob Shelby). It was around for 3 days.
Eared Grebe: Mercer Cty (Central) - 1 was found at the Aledo Sewage Lagoons on 10/12/09 (Jim Mountjoy). It was relocated the following day (Andy Sigler).
Golden Eagle: Kankakee Cty (Central) - 1 at Braidwood Cooling Lake Area/Coal City Sewage Ponds on 10/13/09 (Jed Hertz).
Purple Sandpiper: Lake Cty (North) - 1 at the North Pier of Waukegan Beach on 10/17/09 (Al Stokie). It was last seen at 10am flying off to the North.
Red-necked Phalarope: Woodford Cty (Central) - 1 at the El Paso Sewage Lagoons on 10/15/09 (Matthew Winks).
California Gull: Madison Cty (South) - 1 1st cycle was found in Madison County on 10/15/09 (Bill Rudden). It has not been relocated.
GLAUCOUS-WINGED GULL: Lake Cty (North) - 1 adult at Stateline Beach on 10/17/09 (Greg Neise). It spent the whole afternoon on the beach.
